The Advanced Performance and Rehabilitation Center Difference…
What sets the Advanced Performance and Rehabilitation Center apart from all other offices is the combination of numerous treatment modalities and techniques. The following is a list of the various rehabilitative methods performed at the Advanced Performance and Rehabilitation Center.
Chiropractic
Chiropractic is a branch of the healing arts which is concerned with human health and disease processes. Dr. Jason Levy and Dr. Courtney Centrelli pay special attention to the physiological and biochemical aspects of the body including structural, spinal, musculoskeletal, neurological, emotional and environmental relationships.
The practice and procedures employed by Dr. Levy and Dr. Centrelli are based on the academic and clinical training received in and through accredited chiropractic colleges. Such procedures specifically include the adjustment and manipulation of the articulations and adjacent tissues of the human body, particularly of the spinal column.
Chiropractic is a drug-free, non-surgical science and, as such, does not include pharmaceuticals or incisive surgery.
Podiatry
Dr. Jessica Levy is trained in the latest advances in foot, ankle & lower leg care. She has helped countless patients who suffered with chronic foot, arch, and heel pain. Dr. Levy treats ankle sprains & fractures, shin splints & sports injuries, and pains of the leg, knee and hip related to improper foot/ankle structure. In addition, she has performed countless surgeries to correct bunions and hammer toes, and, she can help treat ingrown and fungus toe nails, corns, calluses & warts. Dr. Levy provides walking and running analysis to improve performance and prevent injury, and, she specializes in making custom sports and dress orthotic supports.
Active Release Techniques® (ART)
Dr. Jason Levy utilizes this highly successful hands-on soft tissue management system for treating injuries of muscles, tendons, nerves, ligaments and other soft tissues. The ART Soft-Tissue Management System provides a way to diagnose and treat the underlying cause of cumulative trauma disorders (CTDs) including: carpal tunnel syndrome, rotator cuff syndrome, tennis elbow, runner’s knee, chronic lower back pain, and whiplash associated disorder to name a few.

Graston Technique
The Graston Technique, originally developed by athletes, is changing the way clinicians — including athletic trainers, chiropractors, physical therapists, occupational therapists — and patients view treatment of acute and chronic soft tissue injuries. The Graston Technique is an innovative, patented form of instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization that enables clinicians to effectively break down scar tissue and fascial restrictions. The Technique utilizes specially designed stainless steel instruments to specifically detect and effectively treat areas exhibiting soft tissue fibrosis or chronic inflammation.

Pulsed Activation Therapy
Pulsed Activation Therapy is based on a set of unique pressure waves that stimulate healing. The system delivers pneumatic pressure waves from outside the body to the area of discomfort. This promotes neovascularization, improves blood supply and increases cell proliferation. This helps tissues to regenerate. The treatment triggers the body's own repair mechanisms to initiate natural healing.

Kinesiotaping
Kinesio tape is an elastic athletic tape of extremely high quality. It is latex free and water proof. It is also durable and each application can last for 3-4 days. The major effects of Kinesio taping are correcting muscle function, improving circulation of blood and lymph, relieving pain, and repositioning the subluxated joints.

One To Zero Adjustment
Frozen Shoulder Syndrome Update: Nov. 2007 Dallas Doctor Reports Results Following One to Zero Tension Adjustment
In July of 2007 doctor Francis X. Murphy reported his early promising results using a new procedure for the condition known as “Frozen Shoulder Syndrome”. Since that time many people from all over the United States have traveled to Dallas, Texas to participate in an ongoing study of Frozen Shoulder Syndrome and to be treated by doctor Murphy. All of the participants in the Frozen Shoulder Syndrome study were required to have been diagnosed with Frozen Shoulder Syndrome by a currently licensed medical doctor. The purpose of the study was to identify the cause of Frozen Shoulder Syndrome and to resolve it using the One to Zero Tension Adjustment and protocols. The reported clinical outcomes and videotape evidence which substantiate the reported outcomes is nothing short of phenomenal.
Doctor Murphy reports that Frozen Shoulder Syndrome is a neurological disorder. The pain and considerable stiffness is worsened if you struggle to restore and create movement with physical therapy, exercises or forced passive (assisted) motion types of therapy. Many of these therapies can be very useful after the neurological condition has been broken.
The study has revealed two distinct types of Frozen Shoulder Syndrome which doctor Murphy identifies as type 1 and type 2. The differences between the two disorders are described below.
Type 1. Immediately following the One to Zero Tension Adjustment the patients, both men and women, are immediately able to raise their arm above their head. Some small compensatory muscular changes require work but the job is easily handled in 3 to 4 follow up visits. The pain is more than 75% reduced within 24 hours.
Type 2. Immediately following the One to Zero Tension Adjustment the patient is able to raise the arm significantly higher, usually a 60% to 80% increased abduction of the shoulder is observed. These patients however should expect to have 2 to 3 times the work and time to achieve full recovery. There is still some pain and significant chance for backsliding. These patients should expect steady improvement with each visit (about 10) over a 4 to 5 week period.
Frozen Shoulder Syndrome sufferers are in such pain that they naturally assume that they will be a Type 2, but that is not the likelihood. Just the opposite is true, you are more likely to have the type 1 version.
Spinal and Extremity Adjustments
A gentle force introduced into the spine or extremity, which unlocks jammed or fixated bones from their stuck position. This helps restore range of motion, improve blood flow, and facilitates nutritional transport to help prevent joint degeneration.
