The Advanced Performance and Rehabilitation Center Difference…

What sets the Advanced Performance and Rehabilitation Center apart from all other offices is the combination of numerous treatment modalities and techniques. The following is a list of the various rehabilitative methods performed at the Advanced Performance and Rehabilitation Center.

Chiropractic is a branch of the healing arts which is concerned with human health and disease processes. Dr. Jason Levy, Dr. Courtney Centrelli, and Dr. Michael Teytelbaum pay special attention to the physiological and biochemical aspects of the body including structural, spinal, musculoskeletal, neurological, emotional and environmental relationships.

The practice and procedures employed by Dr. Jason Levy, Dr. Courtney Centrelli, and Dr. Michael Teytelbaum are based on the academic and clinical training received in and through accredited chiropractic colleges. Such procedures specifically include the adjustment and manipulation of the articulations and adjacent tissues of the human body, particularly of the spinal column.

Chiropractic is a drug-free, non-surgical science and, as such, does not include pharmaceuticals or incisive surgery.

Frozen Shoulder One To Zero Adjustment

Frozen Shoulder Syndrome Update: Nov. 2007

Dallas Doctor Reports Results Following One to Zero Tension Adjustment

In July of 2007 doctor Francis X. Murphy reported his early promising results using a new procedure for the condition known as “Frozen Shoulder Syndrome.” Since that time many people from all over the United States have traveled to Dallas, Texas to participate in an ongoing study of Frozen Shoulder Syndrome and be treated by Dr. Murphy. The purpose of the study was to identify the cause of Frozen Shoulder Syndrome and to resolve it using the One to Zero Tension Adjustment and protocols. The reported clinical outcomes and videotape evidence which substantiate the reported outcomes is nothing short of phenomenal.

The study has revealed two distinct types of Frozen Shoulder Syndrome.

Type 1. Immediately following the One to Zero Tension Adjustment the patients, both men and women, are immediately able to raise their arm above their head. Some small compensatory muscular changes require work but the job is easily handled in 3 to 4 follow up visits. The pain is more than 75% reduced within 24 hours.

Type 2. Immediately following the One to Zero Tension Adjustment the patient is able to raise the arm significantly higher, usually a 60% to 80% increased abduction of the shoulder is observed. These patients however, compared to Type 1 patients, should expect to have 2 to 3 times the work and time to achieve full recovery. These patients should expect steady improvement with each visit (about 10) over a 4 to 5 week period.

Frozen Shoulder Syndrome sufferers are in such pain that they naturally assume that they will be a Type 2, but that is not the likelihood. Just the opposite is true; you are more likely to have the type 1 version.

Extracorporeal Pulse Activation Therapy (EPAT)

Extracorporeal Pulse Activation Therapy (EPAT) is a treatment modality based on a set of unique pressure waves that stimulate healing. The system delivers pneumatic pressure waves from outside the body to the area of discomfort. This promotes neovascularization, improves blood supply and increases cell proliferation, helping tissues to regenerate. The treatment triggers the body's own repair mechanisms to initiate natural healing.

Functional Neurology

To put it simply, functional neurology is a way to address an imbalance in the person’s brain and nervous system. Since the brain controls all function of a person’s body, an imbalance in the brain will manifest itself in altered physiology and biology in the body. A functional neurologist addresses these issues by taking a comprehensive look at the total body function and checking which pathways are not working as well as they should be. Once an imbalance is identified, the functional neurologist stimulates the appropriate pathways to move the brain and body to a more balanced state. This is achieved by using noninvasive and safe therapies like specific chiropractic adjustments, exercises, modalities, sound therapy, etc. As a result, patients get relief from symptoms such as dizziness, vertigo, ADD/ADHD, migraines, fibromyalgia, and obsessive compulsive disorder, amongst many others.
